The girl who became the heartthrob of millions on the night of IPL 8 finals was none other the Rakhee Kapoor Tandon,daughter of Rana Kapoor, the MD & CEO of Yes Bank. Just a day has passed and she has already made a huge twitter fan following. Her fans though think her name spells Rakhi but its Rakhee instead.
Things to know about Rakhee,
1) She is the 2nd daughter of Rana Kapoor, the managing director & CEO of Yes Bank, the fourth largest private sector bank in India. Her mother is Bindu Kapoor.
Radha & Roshini are her sisters.
She is currently 28 & married.
2) Raakhe looks after brand management and strategy at Yes Bank. It is also said she played a key role in shifting Yes Bank's focus beyond corporate finance to retail sector and small and medium enterprises.
3) She is one of India’s 25 Most Influential Women, as per India Today magazine.
4) Raakhe Kapoor Tandon has an MBA from from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and was among the three undergraduate students selected to matriculate into the MBA programme directly. Before joining Yes Bank, she worked in two short stints as an investment banker in the US.
5) She is married to Alkesh Tandon, a Delhi/ Dubai based businessman, who is related to steel baron Lakshmi Mittal. His first cousin Amit Bhatia married Lakshmi Mittal's daughter.
6) Raakhe Kapoor Tandon is close to her sisters Roshini that Raakhe. Radha owns and runs Dolt Creations that brought Pressto, a premium drycleaning business, to India.
7) She loves playing basketball and squash.
8) Though a heir of the Yes Bank empire, Raakhe wants to be an entrepreneur in her own right. She has set up a business incubation firm Rural Agri Ventures India Pvt Ltd.
