He suddenly woke up. There was some loud noise outside his house. He slowly moved out of his house and looked outside. To his utter surprise he found that everything had changed, the grass was gone, the trees were gone, the pavement he walked on was gone too. He could only find dust and cement in the air and gigantic machines in front of him. A huge building was getting built and huge 2 legged creatures were walking around there. He hissed at them to stay away from him and his house but no one was payed any attention to him. Suddenly a creature stepped on his tail and in a fit of rage he bit the creature. Suddenly many of those creatures surrounded him and started throwing large stones at him. A few missed him but one struck his head and another his body. With immense pain and a bleeding body he slowly slithered back to his hole, slipping in between one of the creature's legs. As he rested in his home coiling in a circle, his body was going numb slowly. His home never felt warmer and cozier. Slowly his home started filling up with cement, the creatures poured cement in the hole where he lived. As the humans filled the snake hole in the fence with cement, the snake slowly drifted to the other life resting forever in peace.
